  Using the name Jehovah is not exclusive to the Wt. Visiting other churches I didn't see any demons. Most people are kind, friendly and giving. The only thing I found the Wt. saying correctly is religion is a snare and a racket. Still Totally ADD

  Starting a X-Cult support group. Any suggestions?

  mrs. add and i have seen a need in our area for this.

  it all started over month ago when she gave her yearly talk on what is a cult at our local uu congregation.

  their was several newcomers in the audience who have recently left the high control cults.

  Mrs. ADD and I have seen a need in our area for this. It all started over month ago when she gave her yearly talk on what is a cult at our local UU congregation. Their was several newcomers in the audience who have recently left the high control cults. Since then they have been coming to our congregation and we have gotten to know them better. They have all expressed a need for a support group so my wife and I took it to the UU board of directors and they thought it was a great idea. They even gave us a small working budget and usage of the congregation building.

  We have already explained we are not mental health professionals we would be there to listen and give support nothing else. If we do see a need arise for greater help we will encourage them to get professional help and also we will have the suicide hot line phone number available. I think we will follow loosely the format of the AA meetings. We are starting very small and after we feel comfortable with it we will expand a little at a time.

  With that said is there any advice or suggestions you could give us to help us make this group work? We would appreciate any thoughts or ideas. Thanks for listening. Still Totally ADD

  Smiddy`s Wedding Anniversary Today

  and we are setting off this morning for 3 nights in eden nsw i think it has more to offer than the one in genesis.. with a bit { or a lot } of luck we will make our fortune .

  Thanks Simon. She was one lady I will always remember from this site. I never had the opportunity to personally meet her but her comments and thoughts help me so much when I first got out of the Borg. RIP Grace. Still Totally ADD

  perhaps a new big announcement that turns jwdom on it's head.. we've seen the statement in the watchtower november 15th, 2013 which said:.

  Pale if what you saying does come true, I hope it just changing their teachings on 1914 or some other silly teachings they have. What worries me is something more wacky or dangerous. Remember how many years ago how they would talk about gradualism. How if we let certain things come in our life's a little at a time it could cause us to leave the so called truth. I feel this is what they are doing now to keep people trap in the cult. A little information at a time until everyone is comfortable with what they are saying then they come out with more information. You could look at it as putting a puzzle together. Right now we can't see the whole picture but in time we will. It could be a very scary picture. With kids and grandkids still in the cult this is what worries me. Thanks for bringing this out.   Here is a few from my father many years ago. Use your money wisely, can you believe I paid only 50 cents for this suit I am wearing? Everyone agreed. Just go out to garage sales and find them.

  Then few years later he brought out in his day a child born to a unmarried women was called a bastard, yes that what we called them bastard. That is what they are, bastards. Then he went on to say bastard this and bastard that. There was several sisters with young children hearing this and they all had a fit over my dad saying bastard on stage. This was all related to me by a friend of mine. He told me he was laughing so hard he almost pee his pants. Still Totally ADD

  g-day all,.... i've watched on youtube, 'warwick: a journey to my former faith'.

  and at 25.33 re the photo drama...it is mentioned that,.

  it was the first major screen play to incorporate film.....blah blah blah.... back in 1914, this effort must have been a great piece of propaganda ,.

  jaydee I watch the video and found it very interesting. Thank you for putting this up. When in the Borg this one one of the few things I was proud of. How they was on the cutting edge for the time in using the latest technology available. Later they had their own radio station, sound cars and the portable record player. Compared to today this is all very primitive. Yet they embrace it.

  Wt. In later years fought back in using such technology. It has only been in the last few years they are embracing it again. But then again they are using it because they can control their flock by information control. Now they don't even need to talk at the door anymore. Going back to a old way of getting their word out. Instead of having a TV station they have a Internet site/ TV station or whatever they call it. Yet still trying to play catch up in this field. Again thank you. Still Totally ADD

  as blue-eyed (now that's quite english) but as dark skinned.

  Listening to the news about this made me think how this sounds just like the JW borg. As we have always said cult is a cult. Same M.O. just a different name.

  This is a little off subject the other day I watch a old episode of Monk. The title was Monk joins a cult. Boy did the ever hit the nail on the head when it comes to cult's. If you get a chance to see it do so. You will laugh and think boy this is real. Still Totally ADD

  my name is jacobi, i am a born-in but mentally out for more or less a decade at this point (although it was cradual) and about 40yo.

  i don't want to say a lot about my family, but it is a mix of going-through-the-motions, semi-actives (but mentally in), some who have left for a few reasons and one really depressed pioneer.

  because people fade in and out i have managed to slide under the radar and i keep up apperances of not being all-out apostate but i completed my fade about years ago (it also helped i moved to another part of the country).. i might rub some of you the wrong way because of my views on different things like politics.. i am not a trump supporter at all and neither are most people in my country.

  Welcome Jacobi. Everyone here has or is trying to find their authentic personality that was taken from us by the Wt. borg. We may get under each other skins once in awhile but this is what freedom is all about. Also this us against them attitude that was driven into us by the Wt. Borg I feel is one personality flaw we all need to overcome. It is increasingly becoming a major problem in this country. This cult thinking that is not stop may well be the end of us all.

  So please forgive us if we are a little testee sometimes. This is great group of folks here who will come to anyone needing support. I have received it in many ways and I know you will also. Again glad to have you on board. Take care. Still Totally ADD
